The Balvenie 14 year old Caribbean Cask initially matures in former Bourbon Casks, the single malt is then given a finish lasting several months in selected former Caribbean Rum Casks.
The second maturation gives the Single Malt an elegant rum sweetness and delicate tones of exotic fruits.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Balvenie 14 year old Caribbean Cask tastes like
- Nose: very delicate, fresh aromas of exotic fruits, plus a pleasant sweetness of vanilla and honey
- Palate: the fruits are still present, the vanilla also comes through clearly, a little malt and fine Smokey tones in the background
- Finish: long, spicy finish with a slight oak note

Immernoch einer der besten Balvenie Whiskys. Das Finishing in Rumfässern verschafft dem Whisky eine karibisch anmutende Note im Abgang, perfekt für laue Sommerabende.

Herrlicher Sommerwhisky, oder aber im Winter um sich den sommer ins Glas zu holen. Karibisch trifft es hier tatsächlich hervorragend.
