This whiskey first matured in exBourbon barrels, then a second maturation in exSauternes barrels of a sweet dessert wine.
The result is a very soft single malt with wonderful citrus notes and a light fruit note.
The name Nectar D'or is based on the Gaelic word "Or" - which means "gold".
An allusion to the color and quality of the whiskey.
Aroma: spicy delicate, light aromas of cinnamon and toasted bread, a slight sweetness of sultanas
Taste: very soft with nutty notes, with oak and vanilla - honey and citrus notes in the background
Finish: the finish is long and soft, almost silky
