The barrels hold 228 liters each, hence the number on the label.
The red wine barrels give the whiskey its beautiful ruby red color.
Nose: spicy with elegant aromas of ripe red berries, lots of vanilla and roasted oak
Taste: creamy-soft mouthfeel with hints of sweet caramel, chocolate and nuts - again the red berries - then apples and oranges
Finish: a long finish with plums and allspice

fruchtig süß im Geruch und so kommt er auch im Geschmack rüber Abgang nicht sehr lang für diesen Preis ein guter Tropfen

Ein sehr interessanter Malt . Beim 1. Genuss schmeckt er überaus gut. Allerdings beim weiteren Kosten wird er schnell eindimensional und somit etwas langweiliger.
