A young Calvados from the Domfrontais.
Unlike Calvados from the Pays d'Auge, Calvados from the Domfrontais only needs a short ripening period.
Characteristic of all calvados from the Domfrontais is the high proportion of cider pears (about 30%), which is added to the cider apples.
The soils (slate and granite), on which the fruit trees stand, and the way of distilling (a single pass) give the Calvados an intense fruitiness.
The Sélection is suitable as an aperitif or for all cocktails based on fruity alcohol.
