For this whisky, Springbank lets the barley dry over a peat fire for 48 hours.
Less than 100 Casks are filled every year.
The saltiness of one complement each other very nicely Campbeltown whisky and the created peat note.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Longrow Peated tastes
- Nose: salt and a leathery smokiness - almost like a dock worker's damp leather jacket in Campbeltown
- Palate: light and sweet with green apples and rhubarb - then suddenly a heavy dose of smoke
- Finish: again sea salt and smoke - long finish

Achtung: Springbank und die "Verwandtschaft", eben der Longrow, aber auch der Hazelburn und Springbank selbst sind halt nicht meins. Bestimmt kein Schlechter, aber halt nicht meiner

Schöner - und noch bezahlbarer Longrow. Schade, dass die Destillerie so gehypt ist, dass man kaum noch was zu guten Preisen bekommt.

Ein sehr aromatischer Whisky. Leicht rauchig.

Guter Whisky zum guten Preis! Für meinen Geschmack etwas wenig Peat, aber insgesamt okay. Bleibt nicht all zu lang und ist nicht unangenehm.
