East of Tokyo, at the foothills of Mount Asama lies the distillery Karuizawa. 850 meters above sea level, it is Japan's highest distillery.
The bottling "Asama" comes from distillates of the years 1999 and 2000 - exclusively stored in former European sherry casks. A pleasant malt whiskey with a clear, soft sherry note.
