Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the direction of Jim McEwan - the distillery and its whiskey shine like never before.
Jim McEwan - born on Islay and formerly master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in making Scottish whiskey.
For this reason, all bottlings of Bruichladdich are not filtered cool and without dyes.
The new untilled Bruichladdich - made from barley from Islay (Dunlossit Farm Ceannacroic)!
The second whiskey from Islay, made from barley from Islay.
Jim Logan is the name of the farmer who supplied Bruichladdich as an Islay farmer with his own "Chalice" barley.
The barley was harvested in September 2006, in November 2006, this whiskey was distilled.
The farm "Dunlossit Farm Ceannacroic" is located on the east coast of Islay.
Edition: 24,000 bottles with individual numbering
