Kilchoman is Islay's latest distillery. Over 120 years have gone to the "Islay Land", before Kilchoman with a new distillery was built on the island.
Established in 2005 as a farm distillery, Kilchoman is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries. Farm distillery means that here a part of the barley used is grown and even malted. Only 90,000 to 100,000 liters of alcohol are distilled here per year. The whiskey is stored in "fresh bourbon barrels" from the Buffalo Trace distillery in Kentucky, USA, as well as in "fresh Oloroso Sherry Butts" from Spain
100% Islay - The Second Edition The second bottling, made 100% on and off "Islay Ingredients". Barley was used by Islay, malted in the distillery's own malt, distilled, aged and bottled on Islay Island.
The malt matured in fresh and refill bourbon barrels from the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, USA.
Aroma: gentle peat flavors and blend of citrus, lime and pears Taste: initially sweet, followed by mild peat smoke and various fruit notes Finish: a long, straight-lined finish with notes of peat and fruit, one may not believe that this malt is only three years old.

die neuen Abfüllungen der kleinen Brennerei sind mit Liebe gemacht. richtig gute Fässer und Rohstoffe mit einer heftigen Portion Rauch ergeben einen tollen Malt! weiter so.
