Founded in 1779, Bowmore is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries.
Bowmore still uses its own malting floors and is one of the few distilleries on Islay, who like to experiment with sherry barrels.

The Bowmore Tempest is bottled only in small quantities.

For 10 years, the malt matured in first-fill bourbon barrels.

The result is a whiskey with lots of smoke and a pinch of sea salt.
Aromas of orange peel combined with peat smoke, sweet vanilla and barley sugar.
The taste first dry, then orange and sea salt as fresh from the Atlantic.
The finish again has peat smoke.
