Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the direction of Jim McEwan - the distillery and its whiskey shine like never before.
Jim McEwan - born on Islay and formerly master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in making Scottish whiskey.
For this reason, all bottlings of Bruichladdich are not filtered cool and without dyes.

Bruichladdich WAVES is a cuvée of various Bruichladdich vintages - all distilled and aged after the distillery was reopened in 2000 under the supervision of Master Distiller Jim McEwan!
Bruichladdich WAVES is a lightly tempered malt - surprisingly mature despite its youthful age.
Jim McEwan - born on Islay and formerly master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in making Scottish whiskey.
