Already in 1841 James Chivas started in Aberdeen as a whiskey trader.
A little later he also made a name for himself as a whiskey blender, after some other very successful brands came in 1891 finally Chivas Regal on the market.
The blends are available in over 150 countries around the world and are among the top five selling scotch whiskeys in the world.

The base malts for the Chivas Regal blends are Glen Grant, Glenlivet, Longmorn and Strathisla.
