Mackmyra Svensk Whiskey was founded in 1999 by eight whiskey enthusiasts in Valbo, Sweden.
It is the first and so far only whiskey distillery in Scandinavia.
After initial difficulties, the distillery developed magnificently and today the new distillate flows daily from the copper stills into the barrels.
Mackmyra procures all raw materials needed for production from Sweden.
Moment - Norrsken
Norrsken (Northern Lights) is the sixth bottling of Mackmyras exclusive moment series.
Aromas of pear and citrus fruits, some smoke, winter spices.
Fruity and spicy at the same time, light peat notes, juniper, lemon and licorice, hidden notes of dried fruits, vanilla and caramel.
Long finish, slightly smoky.
Limited bottling with a circulation of 1,492 bottles - with individual numbering.
Mackmyra is free of dyes and not cool filtered .
