Speyside Distillery
The Speyside Distillery is contrary to expectations not in the Speyside, but in the Highlands.
The distillery is owned by Speyside Distillery & Bonding Co., Glasgow, which operated a small distillery from 1895 to 1911 near the present-day distillery. In 1955, whiskey enthusiast George Christie revived the company and started building a new distillery in the 1960s. It was not until 1990 that Speyside started operations.

Since 2000, Speyside Distillery & Bonding has belonged to a group of private investors, including George Christie's son. The representative of the company is Sir James Aykroyd, owner of Alexander Muir.
Speyside was formerly bottled under the name Drumguish, under the name Speyside, the malt is bottled only since the year 2000.
