The Spice Tree is a wonderfully spicy, rich Vatted Malt Whiskey from various Higland Destilleiren - only distilleries from the northern Highlands are represented, mainly from the place Brora.
The first ripening takes place in a mix of first-fill and refill barrels made of American oak.
The difference is made by the second ripening, this time no inner staves are used as in the first Spice Tree, but heavily toasted barrels made of French oak. The bottom and lid of the barrels give the strong roasting a pronounced taste profile of the whiskey. The second maturation takes two years.

Aroma: fragrant aromas of dried herbs, with ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg - oak and vanilla behind
Taste: full and round in the taste - a slight sweetness of toffee and vanilla, then again the herbs, ginger, cloves and nutty notes
Departure: long finish - very spicy with slight vanilla and oak notes
