The Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is usually bottled three times a year in small batches.
Each batch is bottled with a unique age statement, including the month and year of the youngest cask in the batch.
The alcohol content varies with each bottling.
The batch number on the label contains information specific to each batch. The first letter indicates the order of release for that year, starting with "A" for the first bottling in the year. The first digit after the letter stands for the month of bottling - e.g. "1" for January. The third and fourth digits indicate the year - e.g. "23" for the year 2023.

- Nose: rich aromas of caramel and roasted oak, followed by fruity aromas of ripe apples and oranges
- Palate: rich notes of fresh vanilla, caramel again, butterscotch together with spicy notes of black pepper and cinnamon

Der erste Bourbon, der mich vollständig überzeugt hat. Stoffig, kräftig und rund. Hat weder den Klebstoffgeruch noch die aufdringliche Süße , die mich an vielen anderen Bourbons abstößt. Ganz klare Empfehlung!

Langanhaltend, warm, süß und komplex ohne die manchmal durchkommende "Kleber" Note wie bei manch anderen Bourbons. Einer der beste Bourbon, den ich bisher getrunken habe mit einem spitzen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, sollte jeder Bourbon Fan mal probiert haben.

Powerful, lots of toasted oak and vanilla. Rather straight forward despite it's age. Opens up with a splash of water, though.
