Writers Tears is a 100% pot still blend, ie it contains only whiskey made from malted and unmalted barley.
The blend matures in ex-Bourbon barrels made of oak, it is natural, not cold-filtered and in drinking strength with 40% vol. bottled.
The idea behind the name of this whiskey is to honor the many Irish writers.
Because in Ireland, when a writer cries, tears flow from pure whiskey.
Nose: soft with sweet aromas of honey, with warm roasted toast and notes of citrus fruits
Taste: soft and creamy - now more and more honey - soft notes of vanilla and malt, fruity, with caramel and some oak
Finish: a long, warm finish with a light sweetness
