Fettercairn Fior Limited Release 42% vol. 0,7l
- Order number: 12779
The distillery is located in the same name Fettercairn in the Highlands at the foot of the Grampian Mountains at Howe of Mearns.
Fettercairn is the second distillery to receive an official license to burn in 1823 under the Excise Act.
The beginnings experienced Fettercairn as a small farm distillery, she changed hands a few times before she came in 1973 to Whyte & Mackay.
Fettercairn Fior is a combination of different vintage distilleries.
Intense aromas of crushed pears and apples, with spicy aromas of cinnamon, ginger and coriander, vanilla and gooseberry.
Behind it lies a hint of peat smoke, freshly baked bread and hazelnut.
In the taste complex and warming, traces of bitter chocolate, strong roasted coffee, citrus fruits and truffles.
Again peat smoke, nutmeg and mint.
If you keep the malt in your mouth a bit longer you will discover sherry, marzipan and ripe pineapple.

Mittellanger Abgang.
