Arran Machrie Moor - The Peated Malt 1st Edition 46% vol. 0,7l
- Order number: 12726
The young distillery Arran has been producing whiskey since 1995 and has already managed to make a name for itself in the short time.
The bottlings of this distillery are of an impressive quality.
Like all fillings from Arran, this one is also without dyes - in addition, cold filtration was not used here.
The result is a malt whiskey, as it can not be more natural and better.
Arran - Machrie Moor - Peated Malt - First Edition - Released 2010
Machrie Moor is a moorland on the west coast of the island of Arran - a place full of mystery.
Grave chambers from the Neolithic period can be found here as well as Chairns from the Bronze Age and four thousand year old stone circles.
Legend has it that the legend King Fingal tied his favorite dog "Bran" to one of these stones.
Tasting notes:
Aroma: traces of fudge, coconut and spices with a clear peat note
Taste: classic "Arran citrus aromas", fruit and cardamom - lots of peat smoke
Finish: the peat is in the center, warming and rich
