Springbank is one of Scotland's last independent distilleries.
It has been managed since 1837 by the Mitchell family, who traditionally produce and bottle their malt from start to finish.
Springbank dispenses with colorants and cold filtration, and the malt is produced as naturally as possible.
There used to be over 30 distilleries in Campbeltown (located on the Kintyre Peninsula) - today Springbank is here, along with Glen Scotia, the last still producing distillery.
You can taste wonderful sweet vanilla and caramel with a touch of chocolate. The finish is wonderfully long and lasting - traces of sherry and oak.
