Portrait: What makes Bushmills 10 years old.
As early as 1608, Sir Thomas Phillips received the royal distilling rights. Bushmill's continued success to this day is due to its first-class, traditional work. All Bushmills malts are triple distilled. In the traditional way, the barley for the mash is completely omitted from drying over peat smoke.
This gives the Malt Whiskeys from Bushmills Distillery their typically soft and fruity character and tastes significantly less rough than Scottish malts. This is also the case with the Bushmills 10 Year Single Malt Whiskey!
It is made from 100% malted barley and matures for at least 10 years, predominantly in Bourbon Casks and a small amount in former Sherry Casks.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Bushmills 10 year old tastes like
- Nose: very lively with a slight sweetness - clearly soft honey and ripe light fruits
- Palate: mouth-filling and soft - pleasantly malty with a sweet hint of vanilla and fine sherry Notes, above all pleasant notes of milk chocolate
- Finish: pleasantly dry and fresh in the long finish

Ein sehr guter milder Irischer Whisky. Lohnt sich für jeden, der nicht auf starke Torfnoten steht oder gerne mal zwischen getorft und nicht getorft wechselt.

Für seine gerade mal 10 Jahre ist der Bushmills ein komplexer Whiskey, der Einsteigern sowie Kennern gleichermaßen Freude bereiten dürfte.
