Product information "Monkey Shoulder 40% vol. 0,7l"
Wm Grant & Sons Ltd. is the big name behind this Blended Whisky, which is actually a Vatted Whisky.
Only 27 barrels from just three different Speyside distilleries were wedded together for this exceptionally soft and fruity whisky.
Fine apricot aromas, vanilla notes and a pleasant maltiness are the result.

The term Monkey Shoulder dates back to the time when the barley was still being turned with a shovel while drying on the bottoms of the distilleries.
The "Monkey Shoulder" is nothing but a shovel for turning the barley.

Diesem Whisky gebe ich als Blended ein sehr gut. Klar ist es nicht ein Single Malt, aber dieser Vergleich würde ja auch nicht zählen. Aber Derjenige, der die Mischung herstellt hat ein hervorragendes Gespür für schöne Highlands oder Speyside Whiskies. Tolles Produkt.

Hallo,
diesen Blended habe ich zusammen mit einem BUSHMILLS 10 gekauft.
Man merkt schon die Unterschiede zwischen den irischen Whiskeys und den schottischen Whiskys.
Dieser aus drei schottischen Destilaten "blended" Whisky ist ein sehr angenehmer Vertreter.
Kein Brennen, angenehmer, milder Geschmack, mittellanger Abgang, den würde ich auch sofort wieder kaufen, wenn die flasche leer ist.
