Product information "Glenfarclas 1967/2010 Cognac Casks 40.7% vol. 0,7l"
Glenfarclas is one of Scotland's few independent distilleries.
Founded in 1836 and owned by the Grant family since 1865.
John Grant leads Glenfarclas today in its fifth generation.
Glenfarclas is also one of the few distilleries that have produced almost without interruption since its foundation.
This explains the wide range of different fillings from this house.
Limited edition of the legendary vintage 1961 from the dark cellars of the distillery.
One-time bottling of French cognac barrels!
With individual numbering! - In polished wooden box
Circulation: 732 bottles worldwide!
For over 42 years, this single malt matured in French cognac barrels nos. 6543, 6544, 6545 and 6546 in the cellars of the distillery.
Tasting notes from George Grant:
Aroma, taste: wonderfully dried apricots, malty sweetness, honey sweet candy, light spicy notes with a hint of white pepper.
Then the classic Glenfarclas-Demerara sugar (just to show that this note does not come from the Spanish Olroso sherry).
Finish: A dry finish with dark dark chocolate, German or Belgian chocolate, chopped almonds and a hint of oak.
Data of bottling
Distilled: 17.11.1967
Bottled: 14.05.2010
Barrel Type: Cask-Type French Cognac Casks
Circulation: 732 bottles
The malt is not cool filtered and, like all fillings from Glenfarclas, without dyes.
