Longmorn 16 Year Old 48% vol. 0,7l
- Order number: 12456
Founded in 1884 by John Duff in Elgin (Speyside), later sold to the Grant family (from Glenlivet).
Longmorn malts have long been one of the most important ingredients in the success of the "Chivas Regal" blend.
In 1970, Longmorn was sold to the Canadian giant Giant Seagrams - 32 years later - 2002 - then to the French company Pernot Ricard.
"Lhanmorgund" or "Lannmarnoch", as Longmorn is known in the Gaelic language, means "Place of the Holy Man" because the distillery was built on the site of an old cemetery and chapel.
The fact that the distillery now belongs to the French requires that the "inhabitants" of the cemetery turn around in the grave ....
Aroma: fresh aromas of apples and citrus fruits - reminiscent of clavados with lots of oak
Taste: rich in flavor - again the citrus and the oak - then spicy
Finish: long and dry on the finish

toll gereift. sehr komplex. nicht gerade günstig aber für das Alter inzwischen okay. Die Eiche kommt gut durch.
