James Mac Taggert, Distillery Manager of Arran, chose ten barrels (all of them Oloroso-Sherry Butts) for this 12-year vintage malt from 1997.

The whiskey impresses with its deep gold and aromas of black chocolate, cherries and ginger.
The taste is creamy with classic sherry notes of dried fruits and spices - sweet, with the Arran-typical citrus note.
Dry on the finish and very long with a slightly peppery note.

All in all, a luscious malt that reflects the character of the magnificent "Rowan Tree".
