The core business is still old-fashioned blends - the main markets for Douglas Laing & Co. are Latin America and Asia.
Since this business has been declining since the mid-90s, it has been decided to fill the best malts from its own stock as a single malt.
This resulted in the high quality "The Old Malt Cask" series as well as the "McGibbon's Provenance" series.
Aultmore "The old Malt Cask"
Aultmore was founded in 1896 and has belonged to Dewar & Sons since 1923. This is also the main reason that there are no original Aultmore bottlings on the market - almost all of the production disappears in the blends of Dewar's.
