Bruichladdich Organic 2003/2009 46% vol. 0,7l
- Order number: 12071
Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the direction of Jim McEwan - the distillery and its whiskey shine like never before.
Jim McEwan - born on Islay and formerly master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in making Scottish whiskey.
For this reason, all bottlings of Bruichladdich are not filtered cool and without dyes.
Bruichladdich Organic - "Ann's to t-seann Doigh" (Gaelic for: "in the traditional way")
"Bruichladdich's Organic Malt - made from organically grown barley on Islay - is certified to this limited edition of 15,000 bottles with a single numbering of" GB Organic (Certification 6).
Pictured on the bottle and can is the Gaelic goddess "Brighde" (pronounced Brig-heed-her) - the goddess of growth and harvest, the protector of home and hearth, and the mother of the islands.
Made from organically grown "chalice barley" from Islay's "Culblair" farm - matured in bourbon barrels.
The result is probably the creamiest Islay malt! - A whiskey, like from old days!
