Port Charlotte PC8 "Ar Duthchas" 60.5% vol. 0,7l
- Order number: 12038
Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the direction of Jim McEwan - the distillery and its whiskey shine like never before.
Jim McEwan - born on Islay and formerly master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in making Scottish whiskey.
For this reason, all bottlings of Bruichladdich are not filtered cool and without dyes.
Port Charlotte - PC8 - "Ar Duthchas"
"Ar Duthchas" (Gaelic for: "Land of our ancestors") is the last edition of the "6 Motif Series".
Bottled in 2009 at the age of eight and with a peat content of 40ppm, this bottling is reminiscent of Islay's Port Charlotte distillery, which closed its doors forever in 1929, two miles from Bruichladdich.
The Malt stores in the old, deeply carved into the rock warehouses of the former distillery.
The peat bomb Islays! - from 100% Bourbon barrels!
Edition 30,000 bottles, with individual numbering
