Murray McDavid was founded in 1997, specializing in the bottling of a wide range of single malts in short runs.
The bottlings are without exception of a captivating quality, which is not least due to the fact that Murray McDavid such greats as Jim McEwan (Master Distiller Bruichladdich), Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright (a member of the Springbank clan) together to have!
Awarded several times by various whiskey industry institutions, Murray McDavid stands for exclusivity and the highest quality.
Murray McDavid offers his whiskeys exclusively without dyes and without cold filtration.
The malts are in ideal drinking strength with 46% vol. bottled (only exceptions are bottlings in barrel size).
Under the highest quality standards, four to six barrels of a vintage of a distillery are selected and bottled in the in-house bottling plant at Bruichladdich on Islay.
Since December 2000, Murray McDavid has been the proud owner of the distillery Bruichladdich.
On each bottle are the dates of the whiskey, as well as a small story for bottling.
Allt-A-Bhainne
Founded in 1975 by Seagram in Speyside.
The distillery produces a rather sweet malt with fruity notes.
The owners, Chivas and Glenlivet (Pernod Ricard) use the production exclusively for the blends of Chivas.
For this reason, Allt-à-Bhainne (pronounced "alta-vane") is offered as a single malt only by the independent bottlers.
Pleasant notes of cereal, nut, toffee, ripe grapefruit, mango, pear and mild spices
