Edradour 24 Year Old 1984/2008 Chateau d'Yquem 48% vol. 0,7l
- Order number: 11840
Scotland's smallest distillery was first mentioned in writing in 1837.
Edradour is located in the heart of the Highlands above the village of Pitlochry, in a small valley, hidden from the surrounding mountains.
The distillery, with its three employees, produces as much whiskey in one year as other distilleries in a week.
Since the distillery was acquired by the blending firm Whiteley in 1933, Edradour has been providing one of the basic malts for the Blend House of Lords, which is served in the said House of Lords of the British Parliament.
As a single malt, there is Edradour only since 1982, when the then owner Whiteley was taken over by Campbell Distillers.
Last year, the owner changed in 2002.
Since then, the independent bottler Signatory has been in charge of the distillery and only since that time, in addition to the 10-year standard bottling, there are also some limited edition malt of this wonderful distillery on the market.
