Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the direction of Jim McEwan - the distillery and its whiskey shine like never before.
Jim McEwan - born on Islay and formerly master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in making Scottish whiskey.
For this reason, all bottlings of Bruichladdich are not filtered cool and without dyes.
23.10.2001 - "The Ressurection Dram"
On 23.10.2001 this first whiskey was distilled after the reopening.
This malt is the first to carry 100% of the signature of Master Distiller Jim McEwan!
(Ressurection = English Resurrection)
Edition: 24,000 bottles with individual numbering
