Puzzle is the name given to patience games in which the task is to extract a single element from a multi-part combination of individual parts and to bring it back to its starting point.
The word Vexiere comes from the Latin "vexare" (plague or shake) and means in the broadest sense of skill or patience game.

Tavern Puzzles was founded in 1975 by Dennis Sucilsky, a blacksmith.
The making of these puzzles was formerly part of apprentice training in blacksmithing.

The Vexiere are divided into 4 difficulty levels - from simple to very difficult.
A - easy
B - intermediate
C - hard
D - complex
