Product information "Glenburghie 1989/2007 Murray McDavid Gold Series 54% vol. 0,7l"
Murray McDavid was founded in 1997, specializing in the bottling of a wide range of single malts in short runs.
The bottlings are without exception of a captivating quality, which is not least due to the fact that Murray McDavid such greats as Jim McEwan (Master Distiller Bruichladdich), Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright (a member of the Springbank clan) together to have!
Awarded several times by various whiskey industry institutions, Murray McDavid stands for exclusivity and the highest quality.
Murray McDavid offers his whiskeys exclusively without dyes and without cold filtration.
The malts are in ideal drinking strength with 46% vol. bottled (only exceptions are bottlings in barrel size).
For the mission series, barrels are selected from distilleries that, on the one hand, are older than Murray McDavid's "usual" bottlings and, on the other hand, meet or even exceed quality standards.
Glenburghie
Founded in 1829 under the name Kilnflat, was acquired in 1930 by Hiram Walker and transferred their subsidiary Stodart.
Since then, most of the production has been used for the blends of Ballantine's.
In the years 1958 to 1981 Glenburghie (also Glenburgie) produced the malt "Glencraig" with the help of two Lomond stills (a variant of the pot stills, in which one can produce different malts by small technical modifications).
The bottlings of Glenburghie are rare and only available from the independents.
The malt is pleasantly soft with a sweet touch.
Data of bottling
