Mackmyra Preludium: 04 Svensk Single Malt Whiskey 53.3% vol. 0.5l

Mackmyra Svensk Whiskey was founded in 1999 by eight whiskey enthusiasts in Valbo, Sweden.
It is the first and so far only whiskey distillery in Scandinavia.
After initial difficulties, the distillery developed magnificently and today the new distillate flows daily from the copper stills into the barrels.
Mackmyra procures all raw materials needed for production from Sweden.

Preludium: 04
The Prelude: 04 is the fourth bottling of Swedish malt whiskey in a series of six bottlings to be bottled in the coming years.
Each edition will feature a specific section in the new history of Swedish whiskey.
Prelude: 04 was first stored in bourbon barrels, then matured in Swedish oak barrels, champagne and sherry casks.

The barrels are stored at 50 meters depth in an old mine. The result is a slightly citrus yellow malt with wonderful tones of honey, malt and sweets.
It is bottled in barrel strength, free of colorants and not cool filtered.
