Caol Ila is considered an insider tip, compared to other Islay whiskeys it is light - but it has an intense peat taste.
Most of the production goes in blends like Johnnie Walker, so that the bottlings as single malt are relatively small.
The first bottling of the Caol Ila Distillers Edition.
For a second ripening this malt was matured in selected dark Moscatel barrels.
This gives this Islay drop a very smoky-sweet note.
