Founded in 1897 under the name "Strathspey Distillery", Dalwhinnie did not receive its present name until several years later.
Dalwhinnie joined DCL (Distillers Company Ltd.) in 1926, later merging into UDV (United Distillers and Vintners).
Dalwhinnie is the highest distillery in Scotland and produces a very aromatic, gentle, almost sensual malt.
Dalwhinnie is an important ingredient in the Blends Black & White and Dimple.
The 15-year-old bottling impresses with a distinct heather tone and a wonderful honey note.
