In keeping with the Glenfarclas matured in the Oloroso barrel, there is the original Oloroso sherry from La Cigarrera!
A wonderful opportunity to compare the whiskey directly to the sherry whose barrels were used for its storage!

Glenfarclas is one of Scotland's few independent distilleries.
Founded in 1836 and owned by the Grant family since 1865.
John Grant leads Glenfarclas today in its fifth generation.
Glenfarclas is also one of the few distilleries that have produced almost without interruption since its foundation.
This explains the wide range of different fillings from this house.
Limited edition from the series "Limited Rare Bottling" of the vintage 1990 - matured in Oloroso-Sherry barrels (Premium Edition).
Only barrels filled with whiskey were bottled for the first time.
These so-called "first-fill-casks" are the most coveted barrels of every distillery!

Already in its ninth generation, the family of Don José Colóm Darbo manages the Bodega "La Cigarrera", bought in 1758.
The winery carries the designation of origin "Jerez-Xérés-Sherry and Manzanilla - Sanlúcar de Barrameda" and produces its sherries using traditional methods.
The sherries produced at La Cigarrera are fine, fresh and aromatic.
All sherries are produced by La Cigarrera using the Solera process, which ensures that the characteristics of the older wines are combined with those of the younger ones, so that the outstanding quality and the nature of the product always remain the same.
Oloroso sherry is made from Palomino grapes. Dry and aromatic in the taste, intense and full-bodied in the nose.
Ideal as an aperitif and accompaniment of dried fruit and any kind of meat.
