The International Pairs
St. Andrews Swilcan Bridge
"Medium Peated"
Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the direction of Jim McEwan - the distillery and its whiskey shine like never before.
Jim McEwan - born on Islay and formerly master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in making Scottish whiskey.
For this reason, all bottlings of Bruichladdich are not filtered cool and without dyes.
Special bottling for the "International Pairs" tournament, the "Medium Peated" version of this classic was bottled exclusively for the USA.
To achieve the higher peat content, Port Charlotte barrels were used!
In contrast to the "normal" Swilcan Bridge bottling this bottling has no individual numbering.
