Product information "Dudognon VSOP Grande Champagne 42% vol. 0.7l - old design"
Founded in 1776, under the reign of Napoleon III, the estate was acquired by the Dudognon family in 1852.
The Dudognon family uses only home-grown wines to make the cognac.
The oak barrels for maturing the distillate come from the neighboring province of Limousin.
Dudognon attaches particular importance to the reduction process, the reduction of the alcohol content of cognac to drinking strength. In this process, in addition to the natural reduction, which is about 0.5% per year, the reduction is carried out with so-called "Les petites Eaux" (older weak graying fires).
The Dudognon Cognacs are neither filtered nor subjected to a cold treatment, all prerequisites for the production of a Cognac, which represents by its unique fullness, harmony and balance a great rarity.
The VSOP is bottled with an age of about 8 - 10 years.
