Murray McDavid was founded in 1997, specializing in the bottling of a wide range of single malts in short runs. The bottlings are without exception of a captivating quality, which is not least due to the fact that Murray McDavid such greats as Jim McEwan (Master Distiller Bruichladdich), Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright (a member of the Springbank clan) together to have! Awarded several times by various whiskey industry institutions, Murray McDavid stands for exclusivity and the highest quality. Murray McDavid offers his whiskeys exclusively without dyes and without cold filtration. The malts are in ideal drinking strength with 46% vol. bottled (only exceptions are bottlings in barrel size). For the mission series, barrels are selected from distilleries that are older than Murray McDavid's "common" bottlings.
Strathisla 1967 Strathisla, founded in 1786, is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland. The water draws Strathisla from the nearby source Broomhill, which was already used in the 13th century by Dominican monks for beer brewing. The Speyside distillery is considered the most beautiful in Scotland.
