Murray McDavid
Murray McDavid was founded in 1997, specializing in the bottling of a wide range of single malts in short runs.
The bottlings are without exception of a captivating quality, which is not least due to the fact that Murray McDavid such greats as Jim McEwan (Master Distiller Bruichladdich), Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright (a member of the Springbank clan) together to have!
Awarded several times by various whiskey industry institutions, Murray McDavid stands for exclusivity and the highest quality.
Murray McDavid offers his whiskeys exclusively without dyes and without cold filtration.
The malts are in ideal drinking strength with 46% vol. bottled (only exceptions are bottlings in barrel size).
For the mission series, barrels are selected from distilleries that are older than Murray McDavid's "common" bottlings.
Highland Park 1967
Highland Park is the world's northernmost distillery, located on the Orkney Islands.
One of the few distilleries who still poke their peat themselves.
In nearby Hobbister Moor Highland Park finds its peat malting.
Established in 1795, the distillery has been owned by Highland Destillers since 1935 and is run by the Grant family who bought Highland Park in 1895.
The first edition of the Murray McDavid Mission Cask Strength series includes six bottlings of various distilleries.
