Balvenie 21 year old Port Wood
The Port Wood was initially stored in American White Oak Bourbon barrels, then in Portuguese port pipe barrels, 30 years old.
The second storage gives this malt in addition to the honey tones also warm, fruity notes and a long finish.
Aroma: fruity aromas of white peach with light hints of mild smoke
Taste: very delicate and mouth-filling - red, ripe fruits and juicy raisins, light grapes and a lot of mild honey
Departure: long and surprisingly dry on the finish with notes of strong cocoa

Ich habe den Balvenie 21 als Geschenk gekauft. Kann nur sagen, dass der Beschenkte von diesem Whisky begeistert war.

Aroma: Elegante und komplexe Eiche, Vanille, honiglastige Süße und ein Hauch von grünem Apfel. Geschmack: Süß mit Trockenfrüchten, der Würze von Brause, geröstete Mandeln und Zimt, mit einer Reichhaltigkeit von cremigen Toffeenoten und Spuren von Eiche und tiefer Vanille. Finish: Vanille-Eiche, Honig und würzige Süße.
