Glenfarclas 25 year old
4 reasons to love the Glenfarclas 25 year old:

- Family tradition: Scotch quality for many generations.
- Authentic: Without added colour
Tasting Notes: How does the Glenfarclas 25 year old taste?
Nose: fresh herbs at the beginning, clearly menthol, followed by sweet sherry aromas and dark fruits
Palate: intense tones of sherry and creamy malt, plus notes of fresh bread and ginger - behind which are nuts and chocolate
Finish: incredibly long finish with complex notes of cocoa, spicy oak and some smoke
What makes the Glenfarclas 25 years old?
The Glenfarclas 25 year old is a Single Malt Scotch from the picture book. And maybe one of the last of its kind. The Glenfarclas Distillery makes old school Scotch Whisky. Strong in character, spicy, matured in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. An authentic premium single malt that needs neither added caramel coloring nor big marketing stunts to convince.
The Glenfarclas 25 year old stands like no other single malt Scotch whisky for the enormous advantage of the Glenfarclas Distillery. This rare single malt matured in former sherry casks for quarter of a century. There he acquired his deep and delicious aroma profile that only decades in oak can achieve. Unlike most single malt whiskys of this age, however, it carries a low price. The older whiskys get, the more we have to invest to buy them. The demand for very old whisky has risen sharply. However, since production unfortunately takes many decades, this has led to an enormous shortage of old single malts. This in turn drives the price increase. So why is Glenfarclas currently still able to convince with good prices?
Glenfarclas is an independent, family run distillery for 5 generations. It is set amidst the green hills of Speyside in Scotland. While many distilleries had to close or reduce production in the late 80's and 90's, Glenfarclas continued to distill happily. One of the advantages when shareholders or large corporations do not decide on the operation of the distillery. The fact that the family watches over the whiskey and determines the treasures in the warehouses themselves pays off today. Also for us as connoisseurs. Because today we can draw on the high quality and well-maintained stock of casks from Glenfarclas. Nevertheless, we recommend that you do not wait long before buying this magnificent example of Scotch Whisky. Nobody knows how long Glenfarclas can maintain the cheap prices for their aged whiskys. The sooner you strike, the better!
