Product information "Benriach 1981/2004 Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Ch. 43% vol. 0,7l"
Gordon & MacPhail is probably the most important independent bottler in Scotland.
Gordon & MacPhail has vast stocks of barrels from almost all distilleries, the stored vintages date back to the 30s.
The most famous series by Gordon & MacPhail is the Connoisseurs Choice with over 40 different bottlings.
There is also a Cask Strength series and bottlings under the name Spirit of Scotland and Speymalt.
One thing all the bottlings have in common is the very high, excellent quality.
Benriach
The distillery was founded in 1898 and closed again two years later.
The reason for this was the depression of the end of the 19th century, which was followed by the boom times and fell victim to more than 30 distilleries in just ten years.
Glenlivet renovated the distillery in 1965 and then put it back into operation.
To this day, Benriach still uses its own malting floors.
Almost the entire production is processed on site into blends.
The malt that is produced here is pleasantly light and malty.
A delicate Speysider with beautiful citrus aromas and a very nice, light smoky note.
Distilled: February 1981
Bottled: May 2004
