The distillery belongs since 1970 to the Morrison family (Bowmore).
Glen Garioch rested from 1995 to 1997.
It has been producing consistently since 1997 and has even brought the old malting floors back to life.
Glen Garioch produces a peaty malt for Highland standards.
Deep golden amber is the color of this 23-year-old coming from a sherry butt.
Wonderfully sweet honey and fruit notes, as well as some smoke and a pleasant trace of citrus make this malt a real experience.
The finish is warm and soft with very nice vanilla tones.
