The valley of Livet (Glenlivet) is considered the centerpiece of Speysides. The distillery Glenlivet is the oldest and arguably the most prestigious brand in this region of Scotland.
Glenlivet, founded in 1824, produces a very elegant and malty malt that develops an unlikely abundance in old age.
Nose: sweet, creamy vanilla, honey and pineapple - then light apple flavors and cinnamon
Taste: again the apple, fresh and fruity with a creamy citrus note
Finish: a long, delicate finish with almonds and - again the apple!
