Since 1999, the exclusive fruit distillery Lantenhammer distils with great success the Upper Bavarian malt whiskey "Slyrs" (pronounced "Schliers" - that's what the monks called their nearby monastery in Schliersee).
Florian Stetter, company owner, master distiller and whiskey lover needed 10 years to create "his" whiskey.
At the same time, Lantenhammer produces this excellent beer brandy from the mash of the Schlossbrauerei König Ludwig (King Ludwig Dunkel).
The brandy is stored in oak barrels.
Due to the similarity to the whiskey, this beer brand enjoys ever greater popularity.
