Gordon & MacPhail is probably the most important independent bottler in Scotland.
Gordon & MacPhail has vast stocks of barrels from almost all distilleries, the stored vintages date back to the 30s.
The most famous series by Gordon & MacPhail is the Connoisseurs Choice with over 40 different bottlings.
There is also a Cask Strength series and bottlings under the name Spirit of Scotland and Speymalt.
One thing all the bottlings have in common is the very high, excellent quality.
Glentauchers
Founded in 1898, Glentauchers is still today a distillery waiting to be discovered.
The whiskey produced here is oily, heavy and slightly heather-like, with a wonderful honey note and smoke adding to the weight. He is wonderfully sweet, then gets heavier and the oiliness ensures a long, malty finish.
