In 1968, George S. Grant filled a single barrel in keg size for the first time - as a Christmas present for friends and family.
This barrel had 105° British proof - so 60% vol. Alcohol content.
Since then, special barrels for Glenfarclas selected for this bottling and wedded together, so that without the addition of water, an alcohol content of 60% vol. is reached.
Nose: a lot of sherry - clearly honey, buttered toast and nutty aromas - in the background roasted coffee
Taste: soft and creamy with spicy and peppery notes - again the nuts, fruity notes of sherry
Finish: long finish - nuttily spicy
