The independent bottler Ian MacLeod was founded in 1933 and is today one of the four largest independents, own stocks make it possible to come up with very interesting bottlings.
This single barrel bottling in barrel strength contains a Lagavulin, which, in contrast to the original bottling, is neither cold-filtered (non-chillfiltered) nor contains any colourants.
A bourbon barrel of excellent quality was selected.
The malt has a fine smoke tone, scent of seaweed.
In the finish it is powerful and peaty with a fine salt tone.
