In 1997, GlenmorangieArdbeg of Allied Distillers bought large amounts of money to renovate the distillery that had been closed for so many years to produce whiskey, which many critics refer to as the best in the world.
The 17-year-old bottling includes older vintages than indicated since the distillery was closed 17 years ago.
The Ardbeg character also comes into its own with this filling: smoke and seaweed are clearly noticeable, the finish is long and malty.
